3 Reasons To Throw Pain Killers Out of Your Life Right Now

Pain – a sensation that nobody likes. Although, would you believe us if we say pain is useful? Well, it is an indicator of things which otherwise we might not know of, like the internal or external body ailments and injuries. If not for pain we would be in danger of harming ourselves even further. Of-course that in no ways suggests that it shouldn’t be treated but the question is, how?!

In today’s fast-paced world, we crave for quick results, be it making money off the start-up you just started or mastering the new art-form you just began to learn or the delivery of that dish you just ordered. At times impatience and desperation takes a front seat in many cases and bearing pain is one of them.

Sometimes just a hinge of pain makes us pop a pill immediately. Every one of us has been guilty of rushing to a doctor and forcing him to prescribe a painkiller or even taking the matter in our own hands by asking the chemist to give the best painkiller. It could be fatal because pain is felt when the brain intercepts a signal through the nerve fibres and painkillers numb this part and constant numbing of the brain can be hazardous.

Here are some of the reasons why throwing painkillers out of your life would

be a good decision.

1. Painkillers can get you addicted to them

Excess of anything is bad, even excess sugar has adverse effects. Just imagine what an excess of a tablet full of chemicals might do to your body. Abusing the prescription leads to even more pain. Might even lead to many other physical ailments. So much so that at a certain stage your brain and in turn body refuses to function without consuming pills, all in

the name of temporary relief. The question is do we want that? You know the answer!

2. The physical and psychological side effects

No one is stranger to the fact that excessive use of painkillers slows down the bodily functions as well as the physical activities. Be it lethargy, or allergies or paranoia or even respiratory depression, all of it and more comes with overusing the prescription drugs. Short term side effects may also include nausea, diarrhoea, vomiting, muscle ache and

headaches. Constant and unrestricted use of painkillers has the power to affect your psychological well-being. It can lead to depression and anxiety. Dangerous withdrawal symptoms could arise when you try to reduce the extra usage.

3. Long term side effects

We all know painkillers are a short-term answer and the soothing effects are not long lasting. Anything temporary is never the solution to a problem. Long term side effects of pain killers include impaired mental function, cardiovascular issues and also fatal consequences such as

collapse or death due to overdose and much more.

This list goes on and on. So, you must be wondering what is the alternative. Well, alternative is a method that has been utilized since centuries - Hot and cold therapy. To cure pain, it is not always necessary that you need to intake something in your blood stream, most of the issues can be solved externally in a hassle free and safe way. Hot and cold therapy and packs provide pain relief in an amazing way without a single side effect.
